Tumblebook: E-Books for E-Kids
What is it?
TumbleBooks is a resource specifically for children and includes storybooks, chapter books, and more. This platform also has an app version that can be downloaded and used from a phone or tablet. You're able to build playlists of picture books that you can play using the TumbleBook Player.
Use this page to find books with a read aloud component, which includes picture books, early readers, and chapter books for parents and children to choose from.
While the selection of TumbleBooks isn't as large as some of the other platforms, it does include award winners, early and advanced readers, as well as classics and best sellers.
The selection of non-fiction titles in TumbleBooks caters more to younger kids, but does include books about major topics: animals, seasons, insects, biographies, geography, and history.

Springdale Public Library patrons are allowed 6 checkouts per month using their library card. People can stream or download ebooks, audiobooks, comic books, movies, television shows, and more. you can access Hoopla from a desktop computer, or from a phone or tablet. It's the best alternative if you're looking for something, but don't have time to come into the library or want to wait for a hold to come in. Unlike Overdrive, you have instant access to the item, but with only 6 checkouts in a month, once you're out, you will have to wait until the next month to have access to materials again.
The Library is pleased to offer Hoopla, which makes thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, movies, television shows, and music albums available with no waiting and no holds lists. To use Hoopla, download the Hoopla app for Apple or Android, or visit hoopladigital.com. Register for a free account with your Springdale Public Library card, and download up to four items each month.
Hoopla has given parents access to certain titles without the checkout penalty. These titles can be checked out without using one of the Springdale Public Library's 6 checkouts.

Hoopla is a resource that is intended for all ages, however, parents have the ability of making sure that Hoopla only shows access to children's materials by selecting the KIDS option on the Hoopla webpage. You can also select this option from the app, it's located right next to the search bar.
You can find a vast selection of audiobooks for kids using this page. It includes a generous selection, and includes popular titles like Captain Underpants, Wings of Fire, and more. There are also picture book audiobooks as well.
The movies page includes selections of regular movies, but read along versions of popular picture books. You can find "movies" of Mo Willems Pigeon books and Eric Carle among the selection. You can also find Sesame Street movies to stream or download.
Hoopla includes a wide variety of music for kids, and includes soundtracks from some of Disney's most popular movies and shows like Frozen and Descendants. Parents will also find more kid friendly music like Kidz Bop.
Hoopla includes a vast array of comic books for kids, and includes big titles like Big Nate, Garfield, Plants Vs. Zombies, and more. If you're looking for supplemental material to your kids favorite characters or series, this is an excellent place to look.
This can be a one-stop shop for some of the most popular children's chapter books, disney picture books, and more. You can find Diary of the Wimpy Kid, Pete the Cat, and so many more series.
There's no need to have cable when Hoopla has such a wide variety of television shows for kids. Shows like Spongebob, Paw Patrol, and Wild Kratts can be found on this page. Some of these do include the entire season, but make sure to check before you borrow, because some of them may just be a singular episode.
Library2go, also knows as Overdrive or Libby, is the platform that houses the Springdale Public Library's online collection of materials. Patrons can check out up to five items at a time, and once those items are returned, and immediately go and check more out. Similar to the library, patrons can place hold holds on digital materials they would like to have. Patrons can access, ebooks, audiobooks, and video using this platform.
Library2Go has a vast array of ebooks for kids, and does an excellent job in breaking them down into different categories so that parents can find selections based on a specific genre.
Library2Go's selection of videos is much smaller in comparison to Hoopla, however, offers selections of Dr. Seuss videos, Sesame Street, and the Spy Kids movie.
